It was a real pleasure to reopen the doors of our institute for the Fête de la Science 2021! Our audience was very impressed!
From the 4th to the 9th of October, SuperGrid Institute is opening its doors to schools and the general public for the Fête de la Science!
Every year we organise “My Thesis in 180 seconds” where our PhD students have 3 min to explain the research topic that they will be studying!
SuperGrid Institute is going global! Next week, Arthur Boutry will be crossing the Atlantic to collaborate with the Center for Power Electronics Systems (CPES), a laboratory at Virginia Tech (listed by The Times as one of the top 300 universities in the world in 2019!). During his time in the USA, Arthur will continue his work on designing MMC sub-modules for HVDC applications as part of his PhD which he began in 2018 at SuperGrid Institute, in collaboration with the Laboratoire Ampère. Arthur received a grant from the American government for his exchange year in the form of a Fulbright scholarship, one of the most prestigious and competitive fellowship programs in the world. An impressive accomplishment!
Nearly 150 people gathered together on Monday the 8th of April to inaugurate SuperGrid Institute’s headquarters. Our HQ is 5,560 square meters of offices and platforms dedicated to developing technologies: to build the electricity transmission network of the future, and to participate in the wide-scale integration renewable energies within the power network.
